Head Golf Professional

Rick joined the Highland Professional team in 2011 as an Associate Golf Professional. This will be his first season as the Head Golf Professional.  Rick grew up in Prince Edward County and started his golfing career at the Picton Golf & Country Club.  He competed in many tournaments as a Junior golfer including the 1981 Canadian Junior Championship at St. Georges Golf & Country Club.

Rick has been a PGA Canada Member for more than 35 years working at a number of private clubs including Cedar Brae Golf & Country Club in Scarborough, Ontario and Donalda Club in Don Mills, Ontario.  He also spent 12 years as the Pro/Manager of The Bridges at Tillsonburg (formerly Tillsonburg Golf and Country Club.
Rick looks to continue the excellent service levels that the members of Highland Country Club have become accustomed to.  He also looks to add a few new touches to the operation.
Outside of golf Rick enjoys spending time with his three beautiful children and cheering them on at many or their sporting events.


Alan McLean

Associate Golf Professional
 Alan was born in Scotland, raised in Cape Town, South Africa.  He attended an all-boys boarding school, rich in sport culture.  Alan picked up his first golf club at the age of 8 and has been passionate about the game ever since. He turned Pro in 1995 and won Rookie of the Year on the South African Sunshine Tour in 1995-1996.  Alan’s touring career brought him to the Canadian PGA Tour in 1997.  Since then, he has toured the world playing on the European Tour, Asian Tour, OneAsia and Nationwide Tour.  When not competing, Alan would spend his free time volunteering on the Board of Directors and Players’ Committee for the Sunshine Tour and Canadian Tour and assisting with various charitable golf tournaments and junior golf clinics.  Most notably, Alan holds 3 worldwide tournament wins (2 in South Africa and 1 in Canada); he’s tied a world record of 9 consecutive birdies in the South Africa PGA.


Katy McKeiver

Associate Golf Professional

Katy has been a member of the Canadian Professional Golfers' Associations for 22 years. After graduating from USC - Coastal as a golf scholarship player Katy turned professional and worked for 8 years as an Assistant and Associate Professional at the London Hunt and Country Club. While managing her own Golf School for the past 14 years Katy received a Level 2 Golf Fitness Professional Certification with the Titleist Performance Institute which focuses on identifying and teaching around a golfers' physical limitations. For the past two years Katy has been volunteering as a Junior Golf Committee member at Highland Country Club and has been actively involved in all the Junior Golf Development Programs.




Brodie Tarvit

Shop Assistant

Brodie recently returned to Highland Country Club as a curling member after spending a few years in Saskatchewan.   He spent this past winter managing the Goldline Curling store in London.  Brodie grew up curling at Highland as a junior member and graduated from the Golf Course Management program at Fanshawe College.  He is looking forward to joining our team and meeting our new Highland Country Club members as well as seeing some old faces.
